Counselling / Psychotherapy
Counseling typically focuses on a current problem or crisis and taking steps to address or resolve it. Psychotherapy, like counselling, is based on a healing relationship between a therapist and client. However, while counseling focuses on individual problems; psychotherapy aims to resolve underlying issues that sustain ongoing problems in a person’s life. In this process, one’s unconscious, childhood, and recurring feeling are often seen as crucial.
Supervision
Supervision is a formal arrangement whereby a counsellor/psychotherapist discusses their work regularly with someone who is an experienced practitioner and supervisor. The task is to work together to ensure and develop the efficiency of the practitioner/client relationship.
The core functions of supervision are to provide a facilitative and affirmative professional relationship within which the welfare of the client is monitored, and the therapist is supported within their work and encouraged to develop.
Online Therapy
I provide the option to hold psychotherapy sessions online, via Skype or Zoom. Through this platform, you can speak with me, no matter where you’re living and from the privacy and convenience of your own space. This means you can have a regular session regardless of where you’re based.
